留学生教育学会(JAISE)について
JAISE Board Member(Japanese)
About Jaise .....
The association is open to everyone in Japan and abroad involved in international study, including those who provide instruction or support. It was founded in July 1996 to pursue lively academic research in that field.

Aims .....
JAISE works with national and private universities, specialist colleges, Japanese language schools and other educational institutions involved with international students. It also aims to draw on the opinions of all those in the private sector, who are working hard for the benefit of international students, towards creating a more comprehensive environment for receiving international students.

Expectation and hopes fot the future
The academic field of International Student Education is still underdeveloped. This association studies related policy issues and presents proposals, but our core operations are the publication of our journal and presentation of our research. We also aim to provide a forum in which young researchers, who aspire to a future working in International Student Education, can present their research. We wish to be a scholarly forum for the advisors/ educators of international students in national universities, who are often used as jack-of-all- trades staff, and whose contributions to the academic environment are often undervalued.

We pursue our goals through the following activities:

    1.Holding congresses and workshops
2.Promoting investigative research and related activities.
    3.Publication of the Association Journal
4.Exchange and cooperation with related groups in Japan and abroad.
5.Other activities deemed necessary for the attainment of our goals.
To achieve the above activities, our operations are divided between editorial staff, PR and liaison staff, research groups and accountants.

It is essential that our day-to-day operations and ideas develop into the form of published papers. If we are to nurture our successors, we must make international student education an attractive field. We need to fuse the experience and ideas of people working in the field and work together to build the academic field of International Student Education.

JAISE is an open association. We look forward to How to Join & Fee welcoming as many members as possible.
